 Designed by Jerry Matthews, both the front and back nine feature their share amount of the basic four -- hills, sand, trees and water. The front nine is more spacious, with plenty of room to miss the fairway now and then. Several holes cut through the trees make the back nine narrow and tough. Combine all the natural terrain features of this cleverly cut course with the variable winds off Lake Michigan, and you have 18 holes that play different every time. After a round of golf, have lunch or cocktails in the rustic chalet clubhouse overlooking the course. Relax and enjoy its picturesque views of Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay.
