Several months ago we asked our readers to vote for their favorite golf courses. The prime criteria being that any course nominated must be accessible to the public. Meaning, no private facilities could be nominated. Our readers responded and the votes have been tabulated. And there were quite a few surprises. Some facilities that we expected to be at or near the top were either further down the list, or were not able to garner enough votes to even be in the top five in their respective state.
